Healthcare Planning & Design - Juvenile Diabetes Center

The Juvenile Diabetes Center at UCSF was designed for young patients, family, and medical staff. The center focuses on a strong conceptual idea of the life and learning cycle, and showcases the importance of providing comfort through design for all patients within healthcare facilities.

Healthcare Design

180 Ocean Beach, Assisted Living Facility

180 Ocean Beach is a 40,000 square foot assisted living facility located in San Diego, California. The primary goal of the project was to create a facility that felt like a trendy upbeat urban environment, instead of a pastel hued listless insitution that had become the industry standard.

Hospitality Design

Ceres Fine Dining & Luna Hotel Suites

Hotel Luna is an upscale, boutique hotel proposed for the Denver, Colorado area. The project focused on a small, intimate fine dining restaurant, Ceres, and the premier suites located on the top floor of the facility. Importance was placed on the overall concept and how it was incorporated into both spaces.

Retail Commercial Design

Foda : Kitchen Product Showroom

The design of spaces inside Foda relied heavily on the programming phase of development. Research was conducted on the overall flow/circulation patterns to maximize profits. User friendly testing stations were placed in specific areas to generate more interest with certain products. The cash/wrap was centrally placed to eliminate confusion upon check-out.

Residential Design

Trott Residence, Boise, Idaho

This modern residence located in Boise, Idaho was a space planning dream. The family of 4 wished to turn their 1,900 foot modular shell into a home that featured individual spaces for each family member, but still felt open and welcoming. Playing on the "treehouse" concept, nooks and crannies were designed for individual tasks, and central spaces were created (like the kitchen/living room) to incorporate the open, welcoming feeling.

3D Design & Modeling

Furniture Design : Modular & Combination

Programming and design development for two very different user furniture groups. The first project showcase a multi-use combination furniture piece. The second project showcases modular usability and the ability to add and remove as the user or usage changes.
