I wear many different hats

My name is Lisa Buczkowski. I am a graduate of The Art Institute of Colorado (CIIDA Accredited (Formerly FIDER)) where I received my Bachelors Degree in Interior Design, with Magna Cum Laude honors. Throughout my education, I focused heavily on health care, commercial, and retail design. 

Upon graduation, I presented my senior thesis project: a proposed juvenile diabetes center for the University of California at San Francisco hospital expansion. You can see my creative process, including sketches, planning, and renderings, in the Portfolio section. At graduation, I was presented with the Portfolio Par Excellence award for best portfolio of the Interior Design graduating class. After graduating, my work was selected by architectural author Harold Linton to be published in the upcoming book titled Portfolio Design; 4th Edition for 2010.

Interior Design

For me, interior design and planning is much like solving a puzzle. Defining the specific problem through programming, creating a concept that fits the project, and visualizing the solution three dimensionally are all essential elements that allow the remaining pieces to fall into place.

Graphic Design

Not long after I completed a small project in school, I quickly learned the importance of an impresive presentation. As it has been said: 'A product is only as good as it's packaging'. I have applied this idea to many projects: branding, logos, print materials, and boarded presentations.

Web Design

Websites are a funny thing, they can leave such a lasting impression on someone without any actual human contact. The simple design, usability, and easy to understand copywritting speaks highly for an individual or company. That being said, this is what I strive to deliver when designing a website for a client.
